Have to be up early tomorrow so not enough time to bring you the next instalment of our Japan trip.
Crazy busy at work today with various fairly high intensity meetings followed by a presentation out of the office where the audience members included a surprisingly high number of former colleagues from London days.
The presentation was also very well attended - standing room only - which was obviously quite gratifying but also raised the stakes somewhat in terms of putting on a good show. We were helped by the fact that the food laid on was very good so everyone seemed reasonably satisfied at the end. I do it all over again tomorrow albeit dealing with a different topic.
I then headed back to the office but not before various shenanigans with the Uber I had called. For some reason the pick up point was nowhere near where I was actually standing (even through I had marked it when confirming the location0 so I spent 20 minutes wandering around in the heat of the day before the driver cancelled on me. Not ideal in a suit but I did eventually manage to find someone to take me back to the office. Uber is usually fairly reliable but today it was extremely frustrating to watch the tracker showing your taxi arriving around the corner from where we had agreed to meet.
