Normal service is still some way off as work has been very hectic although the main reason for today’s blogging lethargy was a very early start for a corporate bike ride this morning. Billed as a sunrise cycling event, we were a little late departing (notwithstanding the early start) so missed the sunrise but the rest of the ride (and the breakfast en route) was very pleasant and we also saw an Oryx which whilst not unexpected for this part of the World, was a little unusual given the number of cyclists on the track.
Having then tried to fit in some work and an unexpected deadline after my return I then headed off for the second speaking engagement of the week. Again it was standing room only which I think was a result of the popularity of the wider conference that our event formed part of rather than the quality of the speakers (although I am sure that helped!) - who would have thought a week of sunshine, free food, free drink and the opportunity to do some serious shmoozing in Dubai would be so popular with visitors from outside the Middle East!
As a result of all the excitement, I must admit to feeling quite fatigued this evening - hopefully a good nights sleep will see me back to blogging form overt he next few days.
